Job Description

Join our one-of-a-kind community Flying Buddha Studio is a movement and wellness center in Gaithersburg, MD. We offer aerial yoga and aerial arts (i.e. lyra, aerial dance) for adults and kids, mat yoga, pole fitness, yoga wall, and bungee classes. Additionally, we offer specialized teacher trainings, workshops, special events, and customized private parties and classes for individuals and businesses.

We are seeking a dynamic Front Desk/Membership Sales Associate to play a key role in serving our clients, generating membership sales, and ensuring the studio operates efficiently and effectively. As the "face of Flying Buddha," the Front Desk Sales Associate must demonstrate clear communication, enthusiasm, respect, and kindness.

Job Duties:

Assist with greeting students and perform all new and existing client check in and check out activities using MindBody software. Assist with giving new clients a tour of the facilities and show them how to self-check in for classes. Assist with answering in-person, online, and phone questions in a timely manner and professional manner. Reporting any issues per our procedures.

Understand and clearly communicate information to our clients regarding new student specials, classes, workshops, services, products, pricing/memberships, promotions, and policies.

Support revenue growth by encouraging membership sign-ups, increasing attendance for classes and workshops, and promoting merchandise and other studio offerings. Recommend memberships by highlighting the savings, benefits, and added perks. Review student profiles and attendance to ensure they're getting the most value from their current membership. Assist with personalized outreach to encourage sign-ups. Assist with preparation and breakdown of studio for workshops, trainings, and special events. Assist with taking pictures and videos for social media content. Special projects and other tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

Ability to multi-task and function under pressure (often with changing priorities given the number of students entering and exiting the studio at similar times). Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working in a customer service and/or sales role. Experience working in retail, yoga, fitness, and/or health industry a plus. Experience with MindBody Online, Gmail/G Suite a plus.
